Applegate shares her almost 13-year-old daughter with her husband, Martyn LeNoble.
This wasn’t the first time Sadie was Applegate’s date. The two also attended the 2023 SAG Awards, wearing matching double-breasted suit jackets. Applegate initially thought the event might be her last appearance as an actor. However, her role in Dead to Me earned her an Emmy nomination. It also seems to have been better this way because the event proved to be a more fitting farewell for her as an actress.

She also acknowledged her roots as a child actor on Days of Our Lives and expressed gratitude for having essentially grown up on television.
Applegate was also happy to have the opportunity to introduce the legendary Carol Burnett, making it an all-around memorable awards show for her.
